19-Year-Old Tanush’s FIERY 5-Wicket Haul DESTROYS Opponents in 3.4 Overs 🔥 | Hyderabad League Shocker!
Hyderabad, Dec 1: Young pace sensation Tanush ripped through the Classic batting line-up with a devastating spell of 5 for 24 in just 3.4 overs to power Clouds XI to a commanding six-wicket win in the HCA B-Division T20 League (Group-A) Round-3 match at Green Park on Sunday.
The 19-year-old quick struck early and never let the pressure off, claiming five of the ten Classic wickets and finishing the innings himself by castling the last man with Classic tottering at 168 in 19.4 overs. His victims included both openers and key middle-order batsmen, making it impossible for Classic to recover after a promising start.
Supported by Manav Singh (2-43), Tanush ensured Classic never got close to a competitive total despite useful contributions from G Rohith Narayanan (54) and D Jnanesh Singh (49) — ironically both of whom later batted for Clouds XI in a bizarre crossover of names.
Chasing 169, Clouds XI lost a couple of early wickets but captain D Jnanesh Singh (49 off 36) and G Rohith Narayanan (54 off 26) made light work of the target, guiding their side home in the exact same 19.4 overs with six wickets to spare.
Brief Scores:
Classic 168 in 19.4 overs (Tanush 5-24, Manav Singh 2-43) lost to Clouds XI 169/4 in 19.4 overs (Rohith Narayanan 54, Jnanesh Singh 49) by 6 wickets.
Tanush, with his raw pace and ability to hit the deck hard, was rightfully named Player of the Match and sent a strong message to selectors watching local league cricket. On current form, the youngster looks set for bigger things in Hyderabad cricket.
