Hyderabad March 28:
A poster war has erupted in the state of Telgangana capital Hyderabad, with posters criticizing Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah being displayed recently. In particular, posters targeting Modi have been seen in Hyderabad once again, highlighting the delay in completing the Uppal-Narapalli flyover, which remains unfinished despite years of construction.
The posters have been placed on the pillars of the flyover and have drawn widespread criticism. The elevated corridor, which spans six kilometers, has become a hot topic of discussion as these posters continue to be displayed on its pillars.
Under the Bharatmala scheme, construction work on the flyover began in July 2018, with the aim of completing it by June 2020. However, progress has been slow, and officials claim that the road will remain damaged until the corridor works are completed. The construction has also caused significant traffic congestion in the area.
Despite the delays, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for the flyover in May 2018, and the government remains committed to completing the project. However, the slow progress and continued criticism suggest that there is a long way to go before the Uppal-Narapalli flyover is finally completed.
