TDP discusses manifesto and election strategy in Politburo meeting, plans NTR centenary celebrations and 100 meetings in Telugu states

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) held a Polit Bureau meeting on Tuesday to discuss various issues pertaining to the upcoming assembly elections in the two Telugu states. During the three-hour meeting, party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu discussed 13 issues related to Andhra Pradesh and four issues related to Telangana with key party leaders. They focused on designing welfare schemes, eradicating poverty, prioritizing the youth, and forming a special committee for the party manifesto. The party also plans to organize 100 meetings in the two Telugu states and the country to celebrate NTR centenary. It was decided to move forward with parties that come together to protect democracy.

In a press conference after the meeting, TTDP state president Kasani Gnaneshwar clarified that the party will contest alone in the upcoming assembly elections in Telangana. They plan to raise public issues like increased prices, distribution of double bedroom houses, and Dharani.
AP TDP President Achennaidu stated that TDP leader Nara Lokesh accused the AP government of bringing Go No.1 to block the padayatra, and the party demanded that this Go to be taken back immediately. Achennaidu demanded that APCM Jagan should disclose how much he bought the four MLAs who won on the bicycle symbol in 2019. He also announced that 40 YCP MLAs are in talks to join the TDP, and the party plans to undertake a program called Idhem Kharma in April.

Furthermore, TDP strongly condemned the cancellation of Rahul Gandhi’s MP membership, and members Kalva Srinivasulu and Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy participated in the media conference. The party expressed joy over the decision to release a Rs.100 silver coin to celebrate the centenary of NTR, and thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this.
