Hyderabad, March 24: Raghavulu Devalla has been elected as a member of the Telangana Bar Council. The results of the elections, which were conducted across the state in January, were announced on Tuesday.
A total of 203 candidates, including 55 women, contested in the elections held in courts across the state. The counting process, which began on February 10, concluded on Tuesday with the election of 23 Bar Council members. In the declared results, Raghavulu Devalla emerged victorious.
Devalla had earlier served as the General Secretary of the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT). Following his victory, he was accorded a warm reception by fellow advocates at the DRT. Senior advocates G.K. Deshpande, Vijay Kumar, and Sridhar Reddy, among others, felicitated him by draping a shawl and extending their congratulations.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghavulu Devalla stated that he would work towards resolving the issues faced by advocates. He also assured that he would strive continuously for the welfare of the legal fraternity.
