
Students Shine in Intermediate Results; Highest Pass Percentage in Five Years

Students across Telangana have delivered an impressive performance in the Intermediate Public Examinations, registering the highest pass percentages in the last five years. The results reflect a steady upward trend, with both first and second-year outcomes showing notable improvement.
In the first year, the pass percentage stood at 66.94%, while the second year recorded a significant 75.61%, up from 71.43% last year. Girls once again outperformed boys, continuing their dominance in academic results.
The results were officially released on Sunday by Government Advisor K. Keshava Rao and Education Secretary Yogita Rana, in the presence of senior officials including College Education Secretary Sridevasena, CGG DG Ravi Gupta, and Inter Board COE Jayapradha Bai.
Steady Rise in Performance
Over the past five years, the second-year pass percentage has shown consistent growth—from 68.68% in 2022 to 75.61% in 2026, marking this year as the best in recent times. Similarly, the first-year results also reached their highest level compared to previous years.
First-Year Results
Out of 4,89,123 students who appeared, 3,23,807 students passed. In the general category, girls achieved a pass percentage of 74.43%, significantly higher than boys at 59.21%.
Among districts, Medchal topped with 77.31%, followed by Rangareddy and Jayashankar Bhupalpally. Rajanna Sircilla recorded the lowest pass percentage at 49.05%.

Second-Year Results
In the second year, girls outperformed boys by a wide margin of nearly 12.79%. Girls secured 81.78%, while boys recorded 68.99%.
Medchal district again emerged as the top performer with 82.73%, while Rajanna Sircilla stood at the bottom with 58.69%.
MPC Leads, HEC Lags
Group-wise analysis shows MPC students leading the charts, with 78.01% pass rate in the second year, followed by BiPC at 76.04%. MEC recorded 67.91%, while CEC stood at 49.39%.
However, HEC group performance remained weak, with only 49.25% students passing in the second year and 34.34% in the first year.
Recounting from April 13
Students seeking recounting or re-verification of answer sheets can apply online from April 13 to April 20. The fee is ₹100 for recounting and ₹800 for re-verification. Applications must be submitted through the official Inter Board website.
Officials advised students to carefully enter their personal details while applying and report any discrepancies in marks memos within ten days through their respective colleges.
Overall, the results highlight Telangana students’ growing academic performance, with improved pass percentages and strong participation across streams.
