Focus on Investments and Education
Investment promotion, education and stronger government-diaspora engagement were among the key issues discussed at the meeting.
Discussions centred on creating a more investor-friendly environment for investors from the UK and Europe, bringing international expertise and experience into Telangana’s education sector, and utilising the knowledge and professional capabilities of the diaspora for the state’s development.

Sudhakar Goud Praises Revanth Reddy
Sudhakar Goud, Vice President of the Indian Overseas Congress and Telangana PCC NRI Convenor, said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy shared a special bond with London.
Referring to the Chief Minister’s earlier visit to London, Goud highlighted the fulfilment of commitments made to Gulf NRIs. He said Revanth Reddy had worked hard to bring the Congress to power in Telangana and enjoys considerable support among the Indian and Telangana diaspora in the UK.
Goud also emphasised the need for a stronger institutional mechanism to connect NRIs, investors and educationists in the UK directly with the Telangana government.
Government-Diaspora Connectivity to Be Strengthened
Goud proposed establishing a stronger bridge between the Telangana government and the diaspora in the UK, particularly in the areas of investment, education and NRI-related issues.
He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Sridhar Babu responded positively to the proposal. According to Goud, the Chief Minister and the Minister also indicated that investors and professionals from the UK would be invited to the next Global Summit Business Meet scheduled to be held in December.
Minister Sridhar Babu explained the state’s NRI and investment policies. He said the government was also examining the possibility of introducing suitable mechanisms and policies keeping in view the strong connectivity between India and the UK and Europe, and the requirements of NRIs, investors and professionals.
Education Takes Centre Stage During Q&A
An interactive question-and-answer session was also held, with education emerging as a key area of discussion.
The Chief Minister held detailed discussions with NRIs and educationists on improving educational standards in Telangana, providing better opportunities for students and aligning the state’s education system with future requirements.
Participants stressed the need for greater coordination between the Telangana government and professionals working abroad so that their experience, expertise and knowledge could contribute to the state’s development.
‘Let’s Unite. Let’s Engage. Let’s Build a Better Telangana’
Held under the theme “Let’s Unite. Let’s Engage. Let’s Build a Better Telangana,” the event generated considerable enthusiasm among the Telugu diaspora.
