Hyderabad: Telangana is emerging as a space technology hub by encouraging startups and promoting innovation, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Sunday while greeting scientists, engineers and technical experts on the occasion of National Space Day.
The Chief Minister extended his greetings to scientists, engineers, technical experts and other professionals whose contributions have strengthened India’s position in the global space sector.
Recalling the success of Chandrayaan-3, Revanth Reddy said India had demonstrated its scientific and technological capabilities to the world by successfully landing on the lunar South Pole region.
He said the achievement was the result of years of hard work, dedication and continuous research by Indian scientists and engineers.
“India’s achievements in space are a matter of great pride. I wholeheartedly congratulate everyone who contributed to these historic successes,” the Chief Minister said in a social media post.
Revanth Reddy Calls on Youth to Innovate
Revanth Reddy urged young people to focus on innovation, dream big and work with determination to turn their ambitions into reality.
He emphasised the importance of science and innovation in shaping the country’s future, saying that space should be the next major destination for India’s technological advancement.
The Chief Minister also highlighted Telangana’s efforts to encourage startups and strengthen its emerging space technology ecosystem.
Pawan Kalyan Hails India’s Space Journey
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Science and Technology Pawan Kalyan also extended his greetings to scientists and technical experts on National Space Day.
He described India’s space programme as a journey marked by vision, courage and scientific excellence, highlighting major achievements including the Chandrayaan-3 lunar landing, Aditya-L1 solar mission and SpaDeX docking demonstrations.
Pawan Kalyan said India’s space sector has entered a new phase with reforms and greater participation from private companies, startups, researchers and young innovators.
He highlighted the role of institutions such as IN-SPACe in creating a stronger ecosystem for private-sector participation and innovation in the space industry.
Focus on Gaganyaan and Space Vision 2047
Pawan Kalyan also pointed to India’s ambitious future space programmes, including Gaganyaan, which is progressing towards the country’s first human spaceflight, and the planned Bharatiya Antariksh Station under India’s long-term Space Vision 2047.
He paid tribute to scientists, engineers, technicians and young innovators contributing to India’s space ambitions.
The National Space Day messages from the two leaders highlighted the growing importance of innovation, startups and private-sector participation in strengthening India’s position as a major global space power.
