Hyderabad, April 6 – The city of Hyderabad was hit by heavy rainfall on Wednesday, resulting in an unusual hailstorm that caused damage to property and vehicles. The downpour also led to flooding in several low-lying areas of the city, causing inconvenience to commuters.
The hailstorm, which is a rare occurrence in Hyderabad, lasted for about 20 minutes and caused panic among residents. The stones, some as big as golf balls, damaged vehicles parked on the streets and shattered windowpanes of houses.
Furthermore, the heavy rainfall resulted in the formation of floodwater on the roads, disrupting traffic flow and causing difficulties for commuters. The low-lying areas of the city, which are already prone to flooding during the monsoon season, were the worst affected.
The state government has initiated relief measures to assist affected citizens, including the deployment of disaster response teams to the affected areas.

The city’s residents are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during this period of heavy rainfall.
