Khammam, April 10: Former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has alleged that he was pressurized to join the BRS by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao during the Paleru by-election. Addressing a media conference after his suspension from the party, Reddy thanked the leadership for suspending him and demanded that the district president clarify the grounds for his suspension.
Reddy claimed that he had been questioning the difficulties faced by Telangana children for the past 100 days and that he had given his party ticket to someone else in the last election. He further stated that he was patient despite being wronged and that he had been insulted and faced financial problems in the party.
The former MP also claimed that he was not given a party seat in the last election and that the reason why only one candidate won in the district was not analyzed. It is worth noting that Reddy joined the BRS on the invitation of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao during the Paleru by-election. However, he was suspended from the party for alleged anti-party activities.
