Hyderabad April 14:

Hyderabad, April 14: Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Telangana BJP President, has demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao apologize to the Dalit community for “betraying” them. Sanjay has accused KCR of failing to keep his promise of making a Dalit the first chief minister of Telangana and reneging on his pledge to provide three acres of land to every Dalit family.

Sanjay has alleged that Dalit lands are being encroached in the state and has demanded that KCR release a white paper on the Dalit Bandhu scheme to prove his sincerity towards the economic empowerment of Dalits. The BJP leader has also questioned why the state government is taking away education and medicine from the poor without providing funds for fee reimbursement and Arogyasri.

Sanjay made these statements while paying tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary at the BJP office in Hyderabad. He accused KCR of insulting Ambedkar by demanding a rewrite of the Indian Constitution and not participating in his birth and death anniversary programs.

Sanjay also claimed that the 125-feet statue of Ambedkar in Hyderabad has only been installed because of the BJP’s efforts, as KCR was only focused on the Secretariat and had stopped work on the statue. He has called KCR “anti-Dalit” and questioned his right to unveil the statue of Ambedkar.
