Hyderabad-based organization Namo Vande Gomataram has appealed to the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, to take steps towards cow protection in the state. The National President of the organization, Perika Suresh, presented a petition to CM Sawant, who was also felicitated with a shawl and presented with a statue of a cow on the occasion.
During the presentation, Suresh emphasized the need to preserve cows, which are an integral part of Indian culture and heritage, and requested that the initiative to protect them should start from Goa. The Chief Minister reportedly responded positively to the suggestion.
Namo Vande Gomataram aims to protect cows across India, and as part of this program, they plan to ask the Chief Ministers of all states to strictly implement the ban on cow slaughter. The event was attended by the organization’s Founder Madviraj, National Secretary, Munnangi Ramana Reddy, Vice President Katta Ravi Chari, Telangana Secretary Thota Kiran, and other members.
The organization’s appeal comes amid ongoing debates on cow protection and the strict enforcement of laws against cow slaughter in various parts of the country.
