
Kothagudem, April 30 – Dr. Gadala Srinivas Rao, the Director of Health, has been actively serving the people of Bhadradri Kothagudem and its surrounding areas for the past two years through the Dr. GSR Trust, with the aim of giving back to the community that he received so much from, having been born in Kothagudem.

On Sunday, the Dr. GSR Trust organized the Kottagudem Shramikashakthi program at the Kottagudem Club, where several laborers were honored with the Shramikaratna Awards.
Dr. Srinivas Rao emphasized the importance of workers’ unity and the significance of May Day, which commemorates the workers’ rights inspired by Karl Marx. He also noted that the celebration of this day is to commemorate the birth anniversary of renowned poet Sri Sri. He expressed his privilege to celebrate Labor Day among fellow laborers and urged them to fight against any attempts to bring back the 12-hour working day.

Dr. Srinivas Rao also spoke about the Telangana movement initiated by Chief Minister KCR, which has been progressing along with the development of the state. He emphasized the role of Bhadradri Kothagudem district in the movement and its potential for further development. He acknowledged the various service programs carried out by the Dr. GSR Trust in the district over the past two years, with the mission of giving back to the community.
Dr. Srinivas Rao expressed his commitment to supporting the laborers in building a new and better Kothagudem. He emphasized the need for unity and working towards the common goal of progress, regardless of caste or religion. Several laborers from Kothagudem and its surrounding areas, along with members of the Dr. GSR Trust, attended the program. Participants included Kampalli Kanakesh, Thota Mallesh, KV Rama Rao, Tummala Srinivas Jagadam Kiran, Harshad, Nagaraju, Sampath, Sindhu Tapashree, Krishna, Jogarao Veerababu, Nageswara Rao, and MD Sharif.
