New Delhi, May 19: Rahul Gandhi, senior Congress leader, is set to embark on a visit to the United States on May 28, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit on June 22. During his stay, Gandhi will engage in various programs, including an event titled ‘Mohabbat ki dukan’ on May 30 in California.

Initially scheduled to depart on May 31, Gandhi’s trip has been rescheduled to May 28. He will commence his visit by attending the ‘Mohabbat ki dukan’ program in California, where he will reconnect with the public using the slogan ‘Nafarat ke bazar me, Mohabbat ki dukan khol raha hu’ (In the market of hatred, I am opening a shop of love), which he had used during his 3,900 km-long Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Srinagar.

Gandhi is also expected to participate in an NRI meet in San Francisco, as informed by party sources. The Indian Overseas Congress, US wing, is organizing all the programs scheduled for Rahul Gandhi.

Additionally, he will address an NRI meeting in New York on June 4 and attend a program at Stanford University. Earlier this year, Rahul Gandhi had visited the UK and participated in several events.

The White House had recently announced that US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host Prime Minister Narendra Modi for an official state visit on June 22.
