Family Seeks Assistance to Bring Back Remains

Hyderabad, June 14 – Tragedy struck as Kontham Tejaswini Reddy, a 27-year-old woman from Hyderabad, was fatally stabbed in London’s Wembley. Tejaswini, who had traveled to London for higher studies, fell victim to a stabbing incident allegedly carried out by her Brazilian flatmate on Tuesday.

The devastating news reached Tejaswini’s family in Sriram Nagar, located in the Turkayamjal area of Hyderabad, on Wednesday. Having recently completed her Masters, she had been making plans to return home when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Residing in a shared flat on Neeld Crescent, Wembley, Tejaswini lived with three other individuals, including the Brazilian national who had recently joined the household. During the attack, another flatmate, a 28-year-old woman, sustained injuries but is now in stable condition. The motive behind the crime remains unknown.

Law enforcement authorities have arrested the 24-year-old Brazilian suspect, and an additional individual has been detained for questioning in connection with the incident.

In their time of grief, Tejaswini’s family has made an appeal to both the Central government and the Telangana government, seeking their assistance in repatriating her remains to Hyderabad.
