CM KCR has decided to hold assembly budget meetings from February 3. The budget is likely to be presented on February 4. This will be the last budget of this government. As this is an election year, it has been decided to prepare a budget after examining all aspects thoroughly. But last year the budget meetings were held from March 7, but this time the government has decided to hold them a month earlier. However, the number of days to be held is still not clear. On the other hand, the Center will also present the budget for 2023-=24 on February 1. The government intends to introduce the state budget in the assembly after examining it fully.

The government introduced a budget of Rs.2,56,958 crore for the year 2022=-23. Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao has already issued orders inviting budget proposals for 2023-24. All the departments have been directed to send their proposals before the 13th of this month, but they should reach the chief secretaries before the 12th. Meanwhile, in addition to the schemes already in place, the funds allocated for Dalit Bandhu in the 2022-=23 budget have not been utilized, the second phase of the scheme has not started, and as KCR had previously announced that tribal bandhu will also be given, there is a lot of interest in what he will say in the Assembly. Central grants and loans are not received as expected in the current year. Official sources say that the budget will be designed keeping this aspect in mind.
