
Puttaparthi (Andhra Pradesh), July 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sai Hira Global Convention Centre in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, via video conferencing. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries and devotees of Sathya Sai Baba from around the world. In his address, the Prime Minister commended the services rendered by the Sathya Sai Trust, applauding their various initiatives aimed at serving humanity.
Expressing his happiness at the expansion of Sathya Sai Baba’s mission with the establishment of the new convention center, the Prime Minister expressed hope that it would provide a unique blend of spirituality and modern splendor. He described the center as a hub for discussions on spirituality and academic programs, where scholars and experts would gather.
The inauguration of the global convention center coincided with the Leader’s Conference of Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, focused on the theme of ‘Practice and Inspire.’ Prime Minister Modi stressed the importance of leaders’ conduct and its impact on society, citing the life of Shri Sathya Sai as an exemplary example.
He highlighted India’s progress as one of the top five economies globally and its significant achievements in digital technology and 5G. The Prime Minister encouraged the devotees to contribute to transforming the entire district of Puttaparthi into a digital economy, envisioning it becoming a reality by the next birth anniversary of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the global presence of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s followers and institutions, emphasizing the unifying thread that weaves India together. He recalled his interactions with Sri Sathya Sai and praised his teachings, which carry deep messages of love, service, and learning from every experience.
Recognizing the role of religious and spiritual institutions in social welfare, the Prime Minister commended the efforts of the Sathya Sai Trust in nation-building and empowering society. He mentioned the hi-tech hospital, schools, and colleges providing free education, and the Trust’s involvement in providing clean water to remote villages through the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission.’
Prime Minister Modi concluded by expressing his delight at the cultural and spiritual influence of Sathya Sai Trust’s programs like Bal Vikas, shaping the younger generation and contributing to India’s development and heritage.
