Arakkonam, January 22
4 people including a 12th class student were killed and 6 people including a bedridden child were rushed to the hospital when a crane fell during the Mandiamman temple festival near Arakkonam in Tamil Nadu.
A student along with 4 died when the crane fell during the ritual of garlanding by crane. Ranipet SP Deepa Sathyan and Arakkonam District Collector Sumathi themselves inspected the accident site and treated the injured and shifted them to Pravet Hospital for better treatment.
