Yash’s ‘KGF’ Franchise Propels Him to Global Superstardom, Wins Hearts in Japan
With the release of ‘KGF 1’ and ‘KGF 2’, actor Yash has not only elevated Kannada films to national prominence but has also become a beloved superstar with fans all over the country.

In addition to Japan, Yash’s popularity soared during his visit to Malaysia, where he received an overwhelming reception. Massive hoardings, fan-made sketches, and outfits adorned with “Rocking Star” showcased the fans’ immense admiration for Rocky Bhai.
The ‘KGF’ series, set in the Kolar Gold Fields in the late 1970s and early 1980s, follows the life of Raja Krishnappa Bairya, also known as Rocky (Yash), a high-ranking mercenary born in poverty who rises to become a formidable figure.
‘KGF 1’ released on December 21, 2018, and ‘KGF 2’ on April 14, 2022. Now, the third film titled ‘Salaar,’ focusing on the origin of Salaar, a character played by Prabhas, is set to hit the screens on September 28, 2023.
