In a surprising turn of events, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has publicly declared his intention to acquire a model from Apple’s latest iPhone 15 series, which was recently unveiled.
Musk’s admiration for the iPhone 15 became evident during a brief yet noteworthy exchange on social media platform X. The conversation initiated when Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, shared stunning photographs captured with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, taken by renowned photographers Stephen Wilkes and Reuben Wu.
Cook’s post on X, which showcased these captivating images, read, “World-renowned photographers Stephen Wilkes and Reuben Wu show us creativity is limitless with iPhone 15 Pro Max. Their vivid photos display breathtaking views from the beauty of summer in Rhode Island to the other-worldly deserts of Utah.”
Elon Musk promptly responded with praise for the exceptional quality of photos and videos produced by the iPhone, expressing his genuine interest in the device. “The beauty of iPhone pictures and video is incredible,” Musk acknowledged.
As Cook later announced the global availability of Apple’s latest product lineup, Musk publicly declared his intent, stating, “I’m buying one!”
This unexpected expression of interest from Musk adds another layer to the ongoing interaction between the tech giants. Earlier in the week, during an interview with CBS, Cook had addressed certain concerns regarding Musk’s other venture, X. While he criticized the platform’s apparent issues with anti-Semitism as “abhorrent,” he also noted the importance of platforms like Twitter for fostering discourse.
However, when questioned about the prospect of Apple advertising on X, Cook revealed that it’s a matter the company constantly evaluates.
In terms of Apple’s latest offerings, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are available in storage capacities of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, with starting prices of Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900, respectively.
