New Delhi, Sep 26: A recent report published on Tuesday indicates that nearly half of the workforce is poised to adopt a permanent hybrid or fully mobile work approach in the foreseeable future.

The report highlights a consensus among the majority of businesses regarding the manifold benefits of hybrid work, particularly in the domains of diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI). According to the findings from research group Omdia:

  • 69% of businesses concur that hybrid working provides employees with diverse accessibility needs with enhanced opportunities.
  • 67% acknowledge that hybrid work dismantles geographical barriers, facilitating greater work flexibility.
  • 63% recognize that it fosters a sense of connectedness among employees within cohesive teams.
  • 61% affirm that it minimizes feelings of marginalization among employees.
  • 59% opine that it contributes to bridging gender gaps in recruitment.

Furthermore, businesses are actively seeking enhanced support from their digital technology vendors and service providers. A significant 76% of businesses are reconsidering their existing digital supplier relationships, signaling the importance of robust partnerships in navigating the evolving landscape of work.

Adam Holtby, Omdia Principal Analyst specializing in Mobile Workspace and author of the ‘Future of Work’ report, commented on the findings, stating, “More diverse work styles have impacted employee productivity, satisfaction, and customer experience. And businesses need the help of digital partners, processes, and technologies in navigating successful future of work initiatives.”

He added, “Our research assists solution providers and technology professionals to better understand how they can support clients’ digital workplace challenges and transformation priorities.” This emphasizes the crucial role of technology in shaping the future of work and underscores the need for strategic collaborations to ensure a seamless transition into the era of hybrid work.
