“Ganesh Chaturthi: Tight Security as 4,500 Cops Deployed in Cyberabad for Grand Immersion”
The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate has left no stone unturned in ensuring the smooth and secure conduct of the final mammoth Ganesh idol immersion set to take place on September 27th and 28th, 2023. Elaborate arrangements have been made, and approximately 4,500 police personnel have been deployed for this auspicious event.
A staggering total of 10,979 idols were installed in various zones of Cyberabad, with Madhapur Zone leading with 1,712 idols, followed by Balanagar Zone with 3,331 idols, Rajendranagar Zone with 2,112 idols, Medchal Zone with 1,912 idols, and Shamshabad Zone with 1,912 idols.
The grand finale will witness the immersion of 4,474 idols, with a substantial number, 281 idols, set to be immersed in the IDL Tank at Kukatpally.

Additionally, 32 idols will find their way into the waters of Hussain Sagar, Tank Bund lake, comprising 21 idols from Rajendranagar Zone, 2 from Balanagar Zone, 5 from Madhapur Zone, 3 from Medchal Zone, and 1 from Shamshabad Zone.
Cyberabad boasts a total of 34 important lakes, including those under GHMC limits, Medchal Collectorate, Ranga Reddy Collectorate, and Sangareddy Collectorate, ensuring a variety of immersion options for devotees.
To manage the traffic flow and ensure public safety during the Ganesh Immersion Procession on September 28th, 2023, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, C.V. Anand, I.P.S., has issued a notification detailing the following traffic regulations:
I) Procession Routes:
The main procession will enter the Hyderabad Commissionerate jurisdiction from Balapur, beginning at Kattamaisamma of Gurram Chervu tank. It will proceed through various key points, including Keshavagiri, Chandrayangutta Flyover, MBNR X Road, Falaknuma Railway Over Bridge, Aliabad, Nagulchinta, Charminar, Madina, Afzalgunj, SA Bazar, M.J. Market, Abids X Road, Basheerbagh, Liberty, and Ambedkar Junction.
These stringent measures aim to ensure that the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations culminate smoothly, with a focus on public safety and the orderly conduct of the immersion procession.
