Deepika Padukone Unveils Her Cop Look as Shakti Shetty in ‘Singham Again’

Mumbai, October 15: Bollywood sensation Deepika Padukone, who recently made an extended cameo appearance in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Jawan,’ has thrilled fans by sharing her appearance as a cop in the upcoming film ‘Singham Again.’ The actress disclosed her character’s name, Shakti Shetty, in an Instagram post on Sunday.

In the first picture she shared, Deepika can be seen gripping a miscreant by the hair as he kneels at her feet. With the barrel of a gun placed in the goon’s mouth, she gazes into the camera, wearing a sinister smile and blood stains on her uniform. This picture, shared on the first day of Navratri, also carries a symbolic reference to goddess Durga triumphing over Mahishasur.

The second image features Deepika, laughing with the gun’s barrel resting on her forehead, while her hands are adorned with bandages.

In the caption, the actress introduced her character, “Introducing…Shakti Shetty.”

Deepika’s ‘Fighter’ co-star, Hrithik Roshan, praised the post in the comments section, writing, “Amazing, nicely done.”

Deepika’s involvement in ‘Singham Again’ as a lady cop was announced during a press event for her husband Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Cirkus’ last year in Mumbai.

The ‘Singham’ franchise, a part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, includes prominent actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Deepika, and her husband Ranveer Singh, all portraying the roles of law enforcement officers.
