Headline: Congress Accused of Dodging Implementation of Six Guarantees Through Praja Palana Applications
Hyderabad, December 27: In a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, BRS senior leader Dr. Dasoju Sravan Kumar accused the Congress Government of using the Praja Palana program as a mere eyewash to stall the implementation of the promised six guarantees. Sravan criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for making serious allegations against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, emphasizing the need for a more dignified tone.
Sravan questioned the Congress Government’s approach of soliciting fresh applications for ongoing schemes, citing examples such as the Aasra pension and Rythu Bandhu. He alleged that the government’s protracted strategy is causing unnecessary delays, betraying voters’ trust. The Congress Government’s promises, including a waiver of electricity bills and depositing Rs 15,000 into farmers’ accounts for Rythu Bandhu, remain unfulfilled, Sravan pointed out.

Anticipating a drama of accepting applications from December 28 to January 6, Sravan predicted delays in scrutiny, application revision, and beneficiary list preparation, persisting until the Lok Sabha election schedule announcement. He accused Congress leaders of deliberately tarnishing the reputation of the previous BRS Government to evade electoral promises and questioned the financial crisis narrative, pointing to wasteful expenditures on advertisements.
Sravan proposed converting the present Secretariat into a public hospital and repurposing Pragathi Bhavan based on Congress promises. He challenged Revanth Reddy’s use of Pragathi Bhavan, emphasizing a lack of understanding of the Chief Minister’s post. Accusing Revanth Reddy of ascending through “payment quotas,” Sravan demanded prompt implementation of promises without excuses.
