Passengers and Crew Evacuated Safely as Emergency Response Underway

Tokyo, Jan 2 – In a harrowing incident at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, a Japan Airlines airplane erupted in flames on the runway, with initial reports suggesting a possible collision with another aircraft. The country’s national broadcaster NHK reported that all 379 passengers and crew members on Flight 516, arriving from New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, successfully evacuated the aircraft, which continues to burn.
