The Department of Agriculture Telangana is set to revolutionize the agricultural landscape across 32 districts in the state, excluding Hyderabad. In a strategic move, video conferencing services will now be available at farmers’ venues, facilitated by ADE level officers in each district. Currently operational in 110 farmers’ venues statewide, these services will progressively extend to cover all venues in the state.
The successful completion of video conference testing, facilitated by specialized software, marks a significant step toward introducing this new technology in more farmers’ venues. The primary objective is to establish Rythu Vedikas, enabling officials from the agriculture department and allied sectors to provide valuable services to farmers through these virtual platforms.

Key services offered through video conferencing include direct communication with officials and scientists from agriculture and allied departments at each ADE division in the Medati phase. This direct interaction allows farmers to seek advice and suggestions, addressing concerns related to crop problems and pest issues. High-ranking officials will utilize video conferences to raise awareness about new government schemes, and ministers from various departments will directly engage with farmers.

This initiative aims to empower farmers by providing them with a platform to voice their concerns directly, fostering a transparent and inclusive dialogue. Furthermore, bankers will leverage these video conferencing services to explain various schemes and loans available to farmers. In addition to agricultural guidance, veterinary doctors from the animal husbandry department will extend their expertise to farmers.

Officials from the Agriculture Department express confidence in the effectiveness of these direct interactions, emphasizing their commitment to addressing and resolving every problem face-to-face. The phased expansion of video conferencing services underscores the government’s dedication to modernizing and enhancing support systems for farmers across the state.
