Protests, Hunger Strikes, and Meetings

The Power Employees JAC has announced a series of actions against electricity companies that have been neglecting to give PRC to their employees for the last year. On Monday, JAC leaders met at the state office located at 1104 in Mint Compound to discuss the PRC. During the meeting, power owners expressed their anger that the PRC had not been implemented for a year. In this background, a movement activity was announced.

Circle-level meetings are scheduled for February 21 and 22. A black badge protest will be held on 24, 25, and 28, followed by a lunch hour demonstration on March 1 and 2. A relay fast will take place from March 8 to 23, and a protest meeting is scheduled at KTPS on March 14 and at Warangal on March 17. The JAC has also decided to hold a protest meeting at Mint Compound on March 21 and a mahadharna at Vidyut Soudha on March 24. However, if the electricity companies do not respond, the JAC will announce the future course of action on the same day.

The JAC meeting was attended by Chairman Sai Babu, Convener Ratnakar, Co-Chairman Sridhar, Co-Convener BC Reddy, Vice-Chairman Wazir, Karunakar Reddy, Ranji, Tulasi Nagarani, Vijayakumar, Ashok Reddy, Sadanandam, Venu, Govardhan, and Satya Narayana.
