Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is all set to introduce AC sleeper buses for the first time in the state, aiming to provide better and quality services to passengers. The company has already launched new super luxury, non AC sleeper, and seater cum sleeper buses. However, this time the TSRTC has designed 16 new AC sleeper buses with hi-tech features for those traveling to distant places. The buses, named “Lahari,” will be available in March and run on routes of Bangalore, Hubli, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Chennai. The 12-meter-long AC sleeper buses have a capacity of 30 berths, equipped with various features like a mobile charging facility, water bottle facility, reading lamps, WiFi, and CCTV cameras, to name a few. The TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar, IPS, inspected the new Proto AC sleeper bus at Bus Bhavan premises in Hyderabad and has ordered the buses to be made available to the passengers as soon as possible.
