In Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, three soldiers were killed in an exchange of fire with Maoists near Kunder. Two other people were also injured and later succumbed to their injuries. The face-to-face firing began at 8:30 am today and continued for several hours. The security forces, including personnel from Dantewada and Surma Bastar Range, were conducting a combing operation in the Kundelu forest area when the incident occurred. According to DIG Surender Raj, ASI Ramu Ram Singh, District Reserve Guards Sanjay, Joga Panjam Bhima were killed in the encounter. The security forces have deployed on a large scale and heavy security measures have been put in place at the site of the incident.
