Hyderabad, May 12: Following the culmination of vigorous campaigning in Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi opted for recreational activities to relax on Sunday.
Revanth Reddy engaged in a game of football with youth Congress leaders and students at the University of Hyderabad, while Owaisi joined children near his residence for a game of cricket.
The prominent leaders of their respective parties took a break to unwind, a day ahead of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for Monday.
Sporting an “India Team A” T-shirt with his name emblazoned on the back, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy participated alongside MLC Balmoor Venkat, Anil Kumar Yadav, Faheem Qureshi, NSUI leaders, and university students.
In a tweet, Revanth Reddy shared, “Until yesterday, the campaign for the Parliament election was head-on. While getting ready for public service again from tomorrow…played football with young players at the Central University ground. Telangana youth will be encouraged in sports to fly the Indian flag on international sports platforms.”
The Chief Minister, who also serves as the state Congress chief, led his party’s campaign in the Telangana Lok Sabha polls by addressing 57 public meetings in less than a month.
Meanwhile, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Owaisi indulged in gully cricket with children near his residence in Shastripuram, located in the old city.
In a widely circulated video on social media, Owaisi is seen batting while young boys bowl to him. The Hyderabad MP, vying for reelection for a fifth consecutive term, was actively engaged in intense campaigning until Saturday, traversing alleys and addressing public gatherings daily.
