Raja Singh Alleges Harassment in BJP, Signals Readiness to Quit
Hyderabad: Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh has made sensational remarks, alleging continuous harassment within the party since he joined in 2014. Expressing his frustration, he stated that he could no longer tolerate the situation and was ready to leave if the party wanted him to.
The controversy erupted over the appointment of the BJP president for Golconda district. Raja Singh revealed that he had recommended a leader from the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Backward Class (BC) community for the position. However, his suggestion was overlooked, and instead, the leadership reportedly chose someone with ties to the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (MIM).
“When I questioned why the post was given to a person associated with MIM instead of one of the leaders I proposed, I received no proper explanation. I even called a key party leader, only to be told that he was unaware of the election process. This response exposed a hidden conspiracy against me,” Raja Singh alleged.
The Goshamahal MLA, known for his strong Hindutva stance, claimed he has been fighting against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), MIM, and Congress simultaneously. However, he expressed deep disappointment that he now finds himself battling within his own party.
“In every district, it is customary for the party MLA or MP to have a say in the selection of the district president. Why was my recommendation ignored in this case? I demand an immediate change in the appointment,” he asserted.
Raja Singh’s statements have intensified internal strife within the Telangana BJP, raising questions about factionalism and leadership decisions. With his open discontent, political observers are keenly watching whether this marks the beginning of a major rift within the party or if the leadership will intervene to address his concerns.
