Hyderabad, March 20: Telangana Tourism Secretary Smita Sabharwal has announced that the upcoming Miss World pageant, scheduled for May, will be organized in a way that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Telangana. Speaking about the event’s planning, she emphasized the state’s historical significance, referring to it as the Trilinga region with a heritage spanning over 2,500 years.
Highlighting Telangana’s growth over the past 11 years since its formation, Sabharwal underscored the state’s evolving global presence. She noted that the pageant would serve as a platform to showcase Telangana’s unique traditions, architecture, and modern advancements to an international audience.
Sabharwal pointed to several iconic landmarks, including the Ramappa Temple, Thousand Pillar Temple, Charminar, and Golconda Fort, lauding their architectural brilliance. Additionally, she highlighted Telangana’s growing reputation in medical tourism, as well as its distinguished contributions to the film and culinary industries.
