Hyderabad, April 9, 2025 — The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued weather alerts across Telangana, forecasting rainfall over the next two days in several districts. Citizens are advised to remain vigilant as gusty winds, thunder, and lightning are expected to accompany the showers.
According to the weather department, light to moderate rainfall is likely today and tomorrow in the districts of Khammam, Suryapet, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Mulugu, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Mahabubabad. These areas have been placed under an orange alert, with gusty winds potentially reaching 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued for Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts, where light to moderate rain is also anticipated.
The IMD has advised people in the affected districts to stay indoors during thunderstorms and avoid sheltering under trees or near electrical poles. Authorities have been alerted to take necessary precautions, especially in regions prone to waterlogging or power outages.
