Telugu Desam Party’s Strong Financial Position Highlighted at Kadapa Mahanadu

Kadapa, May 27 (Velugu News): The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has once again demonstrated its robust financial standing at the Mahanadu held in Kadapa on Tuesday. Party Treasurer Mente Parthasarathy presented the annual financial report for the year 2024–25, giving a clear insight into the party’s income, expenditure, and overall financial health.

Income Crosses Rs. 228 Crores

According to the treasurer’s report, the party’s total income for the financial year 2024–25 stood at Rs. 228.30 crores. This included:

  • Rs. 123.19 crores from membership contributions
  • Rs. 82.5 crores through donations
  • Rs. 23.5 crores from bank interest
  • Rs. 2 lakhs as rent income

Expenditure Focused on Campaigning and Worker Welfare

The Telugu Desam Party spent a total of Rs. 61.33 crores during the year. The main heads of expenditure included:

  • Rs. 31.73 crores on election campaigning
  • Rs. 14 lakhs for office rent
  • Rs. 7.99 crores on office operations
  • Rs. 4.39 crores in depreciation
  • Rs. 71 lakhs towards employee salaries
  • Rs. 15.84 crores for workers’ welfare insurance
  • Rs. 53 lakhs under miscellaneous heads

Additionally, a major allocation of Rs. 48.9 crores was made specifically for workers’ welfare insurance for the year 2025.

Surplus and General Fund Position

The party reported a surplus of Rs. 166.98 crores, after deducting expenditures from total income. The value of the TDP’s general fund as on March 31, 2025, stands at a substantial Rs. 469.42 crores, indicating a strong asset base and prudent financial management.

Call for Approval

Treasurer Parthasarathy, while thanking all party members who attended the Mahanadu, urged them to approve the financial report, reaffirming the party’s commitment to transparency and financial discipline.
