Big Breaking: Tragic Train-Bus Collision in Tamil Nadu Claims Three Lives
Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, July 8, 2025 —
In a heart-wrenching incident, a school bus was hit by a speeding train while crossing an unmanned railway track near Chemman Guppam in Cuddalore district. The collision resulted in the death of three students on the spot, while several others sustained critical injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the train rammed into the bus, throwing it nearly 50 meters away due to the impact. The vehicle was completely mangled, and rescue efforts were immediately launched by local residents and authorities.
Preliminary reports suggest that the railway gate was left open, and no warning signal was given at the time of the train’s approach, which is believed to be the primary cause of the accident.
Police officials rushed to the site and shifted the deceased to a local hospital for postmortem. The injured students were admitted to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.
The condition of some of the injured is reported to be critical, and officials fear that the death toll may rise.
