A report attributed to IANS states that the final post-mortem examination in the case involving veteran actor Nana Patekar concluded that the cause of death was natural, reportedly due to a massive heart attack.
According to the information provided, a medical team at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim, found that a blood clot in the main coronary artery had obstructed blood flow to the heart, leading to cardiac arrest.
The findings were reportedly confirmed by Goa Police, which also informed the actor’s family about the medical report. The family was said to have raised no objections to the findings at the time of the report.

The post-mortem findings reportedly attributed the cardiac arrest to a blockage in the main coronary artery.
Police Case May Be Closed
Panaji Police had reportedly registered an unnatural death case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), under UD No. 62/2026.
According to the supplied information, the post-mortem findings ruled out suspected foul play involving the actor’s son, Malhar Patekar, and nephew, Prasad Patekar. Police were reportedly expected to close the case after completing the required formalities.
Reported State Honours at Last Rites
