President Droupadi Murmu Takes Historic Sukhoi 30 MKI Sortie in Assam

On Saturday, President Droupadi Murmu made history by taking a 30-minute sortie in a Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam. As the Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces, she flew at a height of 2 kilometers above sea level and at a speed of approximately 800 km per hour, covering the Brahmaputra and Tezpur Valley with a view of the Himalayas. The aircraft was flown by Group Captain Naveen Kumar, Commanding Officer of the 106 Squadron. In the visitor’s book, the President expressed her exhilaration and congratulated the Indian Air Force for organizing the sortie. She also received a briefing on the operational capabilities of the aircraft and the Indian Air Force.
