Hyderabad April 12:In a heartwarming gesture, State Health Minister Harish Rao came to the aid of veteran Telugu folk singer Pastham Mogilaiah, who fell seriously ill recently. Mogilaiah, who had sung the popular song ‘Toduga Matho Undi’ in the climax of Balagam movie directed by Venu Yeldandi, has been suffering from kidney-related disease, diabetes, and blood pressure problems for a long time.

After Mogilaiah’s wife pleaded for help, Harish Rao ordered officials to shift him from Warangal to NIMS in Hyderabad for better treatment. Yesterday, Mogilaiah developed chest pain and doctors at NIMS conducted all necessary tests. They concluded that there is no heart problem and he is currently undergoing dialysis.

Mogilaiah has been undergoing dialysis for the last year due to damage to both kidneys. Despite his health challenges, doctors have reported that his condition is stable and he is also able to take food. The singer and his family are grateful for the timely intervention of the State Health Minister, and his efforts to ensure that Mogilaiah receives the best possible medical care.
