The Hyderabad Public School – Begumpet is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a Centenary Summer Camp for school children, offering a range of creative activities from April 24th to May 20th, 2023. The summer camp was inaugurated by actor Anumolu Sushant as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Mr. Gusti Noria, President of The Hyderabad Public School Society and Principal Dr. Madhav Deo Saraswat.
The summer camp aims to provide a safe and fun-filled learning experience for children, with a range of activities including a summer carnival musical play, western dance class, calligraphy, culinary class, and Olympic standard sports infrastructure to encourage team sports. Abacus and Vedic math programs will also be offered to prepare the kids for the upcoming academic session. The camp will be led by experienced instructors and teachers from HPS.
In addition, the camp has organized Special Sessions with Telangana’s First AFC-license holder in football, Mr. Shyamlam, Relay Olympian and Representative for India in Tokyo Olympics 2021, Mr. Alex Antony, Gold medalist in sports management, Mr. Ranadeep Mukherjee, and former Indian cricketer, Ms. Diana David to inspire students towards higher goals.
Vice Principal and Head of Summer Program, Ms. Amrita Chandra Raju, said, “With renowned sports figures and Olympians, we want to offer children a unique learning experience. The summer camps at HPS have always been a stimulating environment for students to acquire skills like leadership and teamwork.”
The half-day HPS Summer Camp has attracted over 300 registrations and offers an ideal opportunity for students to foster creativity, with the culmination of the summer camp set to take place on May 20th with a grand ceremony.
