PCC Chief Revanth Reddy predicts Congress government in Telangana, promises support for youth and employees

Hyderabad May 08

Hyderabad, May 8: PCC Chief Revanth Reddy expressed confidence that the Congress party would come to power in Telangana, with the backing of Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, as well as Mallikarjuna Kharge’s orders. Speaking at the ‘Yuva Sangharshan’ meeting held at Sarurnagar Stadium on Monday, Reddy said that the current government had failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people, leading to an increase in suicides among unemployed youth. He also criticized the KCR government for not doing justice to the youth of the state.

Reddy highlighted that Osmania and Kakatiya universities are not just educational institutions, but symbols of Telangana’s self-respect. He also expressed concern that injustice was happening in these universities. Reddy noted that the Telangana movement was driven by the single aspiration of “our koluvulu maggawale” (our demands will be met). He praised the youth who fought for the state’s formation, but criticized KCR’s rule for failing to fulfill their aspirations.

Reddy further stated that there were 1.91 lakh job vacancies in the state, according to the 2020 Biswal Committee report. He expressed his disappointment that KCR had promised to fill 1.07 lakh job vacancies in the first year of formation of the state but had forgotten about it. Reddy accused the BRS government of not filling the job vacancies and stated that there would be no justice for the unemployed under the current government. He said that Priyanka Gandhi had come to support the unemployed.

During the meeting, Reddy introduced the Youth Declaration, which outlines how the Congress party plans to support the students and employees in the state. Congress state affairs in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka, MP Uttam Kumar Reddy, leaders V. Hanumantha Rao, Azharuddin, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, AICC secretary Sampath Kumar, and others participated in the event.
