World Record Poster Unveiled for Karate Event
Hyderabad May 20: In honor of Telangana State’s Incarnation Day, the GVR Karate Academy, under the supervision of Academy Director Dr. GS Gopal Reddy, is set to host a world record event in karate on the 27th of this month. The unveiling of the poster associated with this prestigious event took place at the Academy in Kachiguda on Saturday, organized by Senior Advocate Ashok Anand Kumar and G.H.M.C.
During the event, Srinivas Goud, Assistant Director of Sports, had the honor of unveiling the poster. Dr. Gopal Reddy announced that in commemoration of the 9th anniversary of the formation of Telangana state, two skilled karate practitioners, Amrita Reddy and Ghana Santoshini Reddy, will showcase their talents by performing 81 self-defense techniques in 9 different sections, all within a remarkable span of 9 minutes. This incredible feat will be recorded for registration in the renowned Wonder Book of Records and Linka Book of Records.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Gopal Reddy emphasized the Telangana government’s commitment to women’s safety, highlighting their ambitious initiatives such as She Teams, aimed at providing enhanced security for women. As part of this effort, the karate event will include demonstrations of self-defense techniques specifically designed for women, with the goal of empowering and equipping them to protect themselves.
The unveiling ceremony witnessed the presence of notable personalities, including OU Director and Principal of R&D Vanamala Umamaheswar, Madapati Hanumantha Rao School, E. Vijitha Reddy, and BRS senior leader Devi Reddy Vijitha Reddy.
The upcoming world record event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, celebrating the martial arts prowess of Amrita Reddy and Ghana Santoshini Reddy while championing the cause of women’s safety.
