Hyderabad Customs officials at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport have seized gold worth over Rs. 1.13 crore from three passengers who arrived from Riyadh on Tuesday. The Air Intelligence unit of Hyderabad Customs intercepted the passengers based on profiling and discovered gold concealed in their shoes in paste form. The seized gold weighed a total of 1,818.98 grams with a value of Rs. 1,13,13,558. This seizure comes just days after another incident where gold worth over Rs. 1.10 crore was confiscated from a passenger arriving from Dubai. The individual was apprehended, and the gold weighed 1,761 grams, valued at Rs. 1,10,06,250.
