Hyderabad, June 14 – Telangana has emerged as a beacon of excellence in India’s healthcare sector, driven by the visionary leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (CM KCR). The state’s unwavering commitment to comprehensive healthcare solutions and sustainable development has garnered praise and admiration from various quarters.

During the groundbreaking ceremony of the 2000-bed Dasabdi building at the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Minister of Finance and Health T. Harish Rao highlighted the government’s steadfast dedication to the well-being of its citizens. Initiatives such as the provision of KCR Kits, nutrition kits, and NCD (non-communicable disease) kits demonstrate the government’s efforts to protect and enhance public health. Minister Harish Rao emphasized that despite opposition criticism, the government remains resolute in strengthening public healthcare and government hospitals.

Minister Harish Rao lauded CM KCR’s transformative impact on Telangana’s healthcare landscape. The establishment of 10,000-bed super-specialty hospitals in Hyderabad, along with Health City in Warangal and other regions, showcases the government’s proactive approach in addressing healthcare needs and combating emerging diseases. This initiative ensures healthcare accessibility, even in remote areas like Mulugu, Asifabad, and Komarambhim district.

CM KCR’s conceptualized nutrition kit program aims to enhance the well-being of pregnant women and promote healthy childbirth. These kits, distributed twice during the 4th and 7th months of pregnancy, contain essential items that aid in reducing anemia and ensuring smooth deliveries. Minister Harish Rao emphasized that CM KCR’s maternal care initiatives contribute to nurturing healthy future generations.

While the Telangana Government tirelessly works towards improving health and well-being, opposition parties continue to engage in divisive politics. Minister Harish Rao expressed disappointment at the opposition’s attempts to criticize and hinder progressive initiatives, reaffirming that the government’s focus remains on empowering and promoting citizen welfare.

Telangana’s exceptional achievements in healthcare have garnered international recognition. Large-scale eye screenings and the Haritahara afforestation initiative have drawn admiration from leaders in various states, inspiring them to adopt similar approaches. Telangana’s commitment to environmental conservation, along with its remarkable progress in various sectors, has placed the state at the forefront of national rankings.
