
NTPC Signs Fuel Supply Agreement and Supplementary Agreement with SCCL
Hyderabad, June 19, 2023: NTPC, India’s leading power utility, announced today the signing of a Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) Supplementary Agreement with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for its power stations, namely Ramagundam, Kudgi, and Solapur.

This comprehensive agreement encompasses the Fuel Supply Agreement for Kudgi’s two units and serves as a supplementary agreement to the existing FSA for Solapur Unit-2, while also adding a supplementary agreement to the ongoing FSA for Ramagundam. The signing event between NTPC and SCCL also includes a Supplementary Agreement for the aggregation of SCCL ACQs (Annual Contract Quantity) and the implementation of the flexible utilization of domestic coal policy.

Representing NTPC Ltd, Shri Debashish Chattopadhya, Regional Executive Director (South & WR-I), signed the agreement, while Shri K. Suryanarayana, General Manager (Marketing) of SCCL, signed on behalf of their company. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Shri J. Allwyn, Executive Director (Coal Movement) from SCCL.

The program was graced by the presence of Shri Pradipta Kumar Mishra, Executive Director (Finance and Management), as well as the respective Heads of Plants (HOPs) from NTPC’s Ramagundam, Kudgi, and Solapur stations. Furthermore, officials from the concerned departments of each station, as well as representatives from CC-FM (Coal Contracts-Fuel Management), SRHQ (Southern Region Headquarters), and SCCL, were also present.

This significant agreement solidifies NTPC’s commitment to ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted supply of fuel for its power stations. The collaboration with SCCL will strengthen the strategic partnership between the two organizations and promote efficient utilization of domestic coal resources in the power generation sector.
