Hyderabad, June 3: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav visited Hyderabad today to meet Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Yadav, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, arrived in Hyderabad via a special aircraft and was warmly received by state minister T. Srinivas Yadav at Begumpet Airport.
Subsequently, Yadav made his way to Pragathi Bhavan, the official residence of Chief Minister KCR, where he was greeted by KCR himself. The two leaders engaged in a lunch meeting to discuss various matters of mutual interest.
During his interaction with reporters at the airport, Yadav refrained from making any statements until after his meeting with KCR. He evaded questions by stating that he would share his thoughts only after the meeting, emphasizing that the primary goal of all political parties involved is to remove the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from power.

“We all collectively aim to remove the BJP government,” Yadav expressed. “At the moment, I have nothing to say. When you have the objective of dethroning the BJP government at the Center, you have to find a way,” he added.
It is noteworthy that the BRS had chosen not to attend the opposition parties’ meeting held in Patna last month. Party leaders had clarified that they seek unity among the people rather than just political parties. K. T. Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, had stated that their party does not believe that the Congress or BJP must hold the center stage in any alliance.

Akhilesh Yadav’s meeting with KCR comes in the wake of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent declaration during a public gathering in Khammam. Gandhi stated that the Congress party will not participate in any meeting where the BRS is invited.
