
Tragic Small Business Jet Crash Claims Six Lives in California
California, July 9: A small business jet crash in the western US state of California has resulted in the loss of six lives, authorities have confirmed. The incident took place in Murrieta, a city in southwestern Riverside County, approximately 150 km southeast of Los Angeles. Police responded to the crash site at 4:15 a.m. local time (1115 GMT), where they discovered the aircraft engulfed in flames in a field.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department stated, “Six occupants from the plane were located and pronounced deceased at the scene.”

The ill-fated Cessna C550 business jet had departed from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas at approximately 3:15 a.m. local time (1015 GMT).
This tragic incident marks the second fatal crash in the area within a week. On Tuesday, a Cessna 172 crashed while departing a local airport, resulting in the death of a student pilot and injuries to three others.
Both crashes are currently under investigation by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
