In a significant move, the Horticulture Extension Officers Association (HEOA) has fervently demanded the prompt reinstatement and deployment of horticulture employees. The association’s representatives submitted the petition alongside Minister Niranjan Reddy at the Ministers Quarter Hyderabad on Wednesday. This gathering saw the presence of notable figures including Bollu Saidulu, the President of the Association, Bandi Venukumar, the General Secretary, and Vice president Sandhya Joshi.
The HEOs, responsible for driving horticultural development under the Horticulture Department, have faced an unfortunate halt in their renewal process during the course of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Disturbingly, numerous dedicated HEOs with decades of service within the organization have been forced to halt their work due to funding shortages. The representatives conveyed this concern to the Agriculture Minister, urging him to empathize with their plight and expedite their return to duty.
In a promising development, Agriculture Minister Niranjan Reddy responded positively to the heartfelt plea put forth by the community’s representatives. He assured them of his commitment to addressing the matter by escalating it to the Chief Minister’s attention. The minister pledged his utmost efforts to facilitate a swift renewal process, thus reinstating the horticulture employees who have been an integral part of the department for an extended period.
