In a recent press conference, Asaduddin Owaisi expressed concerns regarding the actions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government in relation to the border situation in Ladakh. Owaisi criticized the PM’s approach of seeking meetings with the Chinese President while allegedly keeping the country uninformed about the actual state of affairs along the Ladakh border. He questioned the motivations behind Modi’s actions and his potential motives for concealing information.

Owaisi further raised queries about the Modi government’s pressure on the military to accept potential solutions to the border crisis. He questioned why the government isn’t pushing for a return to the status quo as of May 2020 and accused Modi of rewarding China for its alleged illegal military actions.

The opposition leader also praised the courage of the Indian soldiers who have steadfastly held their ground along the border for over 40 months. Owaisi voiced his concern over Modi’s perceived reluctance to take a strong stand against Chinese President Xi Jinping, and expressed doubts about whether the Prime Minister truly trusts the capabilities of the Indian soldiers. He questioned whether Modi considers the loss of territory acceptable.

Owaisi strongly criticized what he views as capitulation by the Modi government in front of China, terming it both shameful and perilous. He emphasized that the border issue is a matter of national security and called for a special parliamentary session to debate the situation. Owaisi’s statements underscored the need for transparency and robust discussion regarding the Ladakh border issue, as it holds significance for India’s security and sovereignty.
