Hyderabad, October 3: K. T. Rama Rao, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), launched a scathing attack on the Congress party in Telangana, alleging that the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee was being controlled by RSS leader Revanth Reddy and accused them of inciting communal violence.
Rama Rao asserted that former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had written a letter to Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, questioning why an RSS leader was appointed as the chief of the Congress party in Telangana.
He challenged Revanth Reddy to publicly state that he has no affiliation with the RSS and does not hold any prejudice against Muslims.
Speaking at a public gathering in Jagtiyal, Rama Rao criticized the Congress party, describing it as an organization that has consistently failed over the years. He mentioned that despite being given 11 opportunities, the Congress has failed to make a positive impact on any section of society in its 65 years of existence.
Rama Rao reminded the audience of the days when farmers in Telangana faced severe electricity shortages.
He challenged any Congress leader to doubt the uninterrupted power supply in the state and invited them to hold live electrical wires for evidence. He found it ironic that Congress leaders were now addressing current issues in the state.
He also criticized Revanth Reddy, highlighting his previous statement that three-hour power supply was sufficient for farmers in the state, implying the Congress’s lack of concern for farmers’ welfare.
Rama Rao proudly lauded Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for his dedication to farmers’ welfare and questioned the Congress’s ability to name its leader in contrast to the clarity of leadership provided by BRS.
He drew a comparison between Congress’s “Indiramma houses” and BRS’s “2BHK Dignity houses” to emphasize the difference between the two parties’ development efforts.
In a satirical remark, Rama Rao criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of causing a sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities and inciting religious fanaticism.
He also accused the BJP leaders of promoting religious extremism and warned of the potential for communal disturbances.
Rama Rao concluded by challenging Modi to clarify whether he follows the principles of Mahatma Gandhi or Nathuram Godse and called for an answer during a visit to Nizamabad.
He praised the pension scheme introduced by Chief Minister KCR, which he claimed boosted the self-esteem of beedi workers in Telangana, setting the state apart from others in terms of welfare initiatives.
Rama Rao assured the residents of Jagtiyal that major brands like Pepsi or Coca-Cola would be encouraged to establish units in the area, which would benefit the local population.
