The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a clarification regarding fraudulent advertisements promising aspiring cricketers admission to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

In a statement released by the board’s secretary, Jay Shah, it was highlighted that the BCCI has recently encountered misleading advertisements falsely guaranteeing admission to the NCA.

The BCCI emphasized that the NCA exclusively entertains applications through specified channels and is not affiliated with any external agencies. Admission to the Academy is strictly merit-based and is reserved for BCCI-contracted players, individuals within targeted categories, and cricketers recommended by State Associations.

Furthermore, the statement reiterated that the BCCI does not impose any charges for the utilization of its facilities. Entry into the NCA is governed by established protocols, and cautionary advice was extended to cricketers, coaches, and the public to refrain from engaging with fraudulent posts. Instead, they were encouraged to seek guidance from their respective State Associations.

The BCCI underscored the importance of vigilance and urged individuals to exercise discretion to avoid falling victim to deceptive schemes.
