Lucknow, May 11: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has urged the Congress Party to reevaluate its political strategy. Speaking at the ‘Samvidhan Sammelan’ organized by the ‘Samriddh Bharat Foundation,’ Gandhi acknowledged the party’s past mistakes and emphasized the need for internal reforms. While he did not specify the exact changes required, he stressed the importance of critical self-reflection.

In a direct critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gandhi referred to him as an “emperor” rather than a prime minister. He accused Modi of prioritizing the interests of a select group of financiers over those of the broader public. Gandhi boldly predicted a significant reduction in the BJP’s Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming elections, asserting that they would not exceed 180 seats. He even offered to put this statement in writing, confident that Modi would not return as Prime Minister.

Gandhi also criticized politicians who focus solely on gaining power. While expressing his own disinterest in authority, he highlighted that power should serve the public. He lamented that when 90% of the population is excluded from opportunities in jobs, sports, media, the judiciary, and beauty contests, the nation cannot truly thrive. Gandhi questioned the BJP’s governance, suggesting that it aimed to transform only a privileged 10% of the population into a superpower.
